Why did you become a journalist?
I love the art of storytelling and amplifying the voices of those around me, whether it be student-athletes, professionals, coaches.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did not, but I wish I did. My high school's newspaper was called "The Daily Chant."
When's the best time to pitch you?
At any point in the morning, I'm sifting through emails.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
I was once pitched on a decade long friendship formed from Groundhog Day in Punxsutawney. The two friends even attended each other's wedding.
What's your favorite drink?
Strawberry Lemonade!
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
The Athletic always has high quality journalism, along with the Washington Post, and ESPN.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That sports betting is only about odds, betting lines, and bad beats. The business is so much more than that and continues to grow.
