1. Introduction Acute Stanford type B dissection is a prevalent condition, accounting for 25–40% of all cases of thoracic aortic dissection (TBAD) [1]. Great progress has been made in the past 20 years in surgical treatment, graft design, and imaging technology [2]; it is still a vascular disease seriously endangering life and health, and the in-hospital mortality of TBAD patients remains at 9.3% [3]. Before becoming ill, many patients with TBAD do not exhibit any noticeable clinical symptoms.
