Abstract This paper presents ThermoPix, a CMOS-compatible electronic–photonic architecture for high-spatial-resolution temperature sensing. The proposed system converts temperature-induced wavelength shifts in a photonic interferometric sensor into timing information that can be processed by CMOS circuitry.
