‘Superfights’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
Poor acting and even worse music cannot stop this low-budget production from standing tall as the best pro-wrestling movie ever made. The choreography is IMPECCABLE and the absolutely bonkers story guarantees non-stop surprises. I promise you will never predict where young Cody's journey will take him, not in a hundred years. this picture is in desperate need of a remaster because it's a five-star film trapped on a 30-year-old VHS transfer. I could barely see the monster at all! (Why "five-star film"? It's got conspiracies, eugenics, occultism, and an ex-cop department store Santa who smokes like a chimney. Absolutely worth seeing, if you can find a decent copy) Block or Report youtube horror xmas Reviewed by Dan Gorman ★★★★ Reviewed by Pink⚸Meanie ★★★½
‘A Karate Christmas Miracle’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
hits that ideal sweetspot of absurd filmmaking where the (adult) cast is competent and the shots are fine but the script is so bonkers that the utter nonsense on display becomes a feast for the eyes. Even though A Karate Christmas Miracle ends exactly how you'd expect (it's in the title) I was still blown away. Block or Report youtube xmas Reviewed by Alden ★
Tekken 8 Tries to Balance Old and New - TGS 2023
At a special showcase for members of the press at Bandai Namco Entertainment in Tokyo, Japan, I had a chance to play an early build of Tekken 8. While renowned director Katsuhiro Harada’s latest sequel will launch with 32 characters, only 16 were available during this meeting. The roster included a blend of old and new faces, including long-established stars like Paul Phoenix and Jin Kazama alongside more recent creations like Claudio Serafino and Lars Alexandersson.
Sand Land's Wasteland Needs Work - TGS 2023
Announced earlier this year, Bandai Namco's Sand Land looks to translate a cult Japanese comic into an open-world adventure. Playing it on the floor of Tokyo Game Show, I came away intrigued about the characters and story, but less thrilled about actually playing the full game. Sand Land debuted in the year 2000 as a short-lived tale of a demon prince exploring a desolate wilderness – hence the title.
Patapon Creator Shares New Details on 'Spiritual Successor' Ratatan
Recently at BitSummit, the annual indie game festival in Kyoto, Japan, Patapon creator Hiroyuki Kotani announced an upcoming Kickstarter campaign beginning on July 31 to fund a new music game that will be a spiritual successor to the long-dormant Patapon series. Originally made public last spring when Tokyo Virtual Theory announced Project Jabberwocky, a rhythm action game with Kotani in the director's chair, the newly-christened Ratatan bears an uncanny likeness to Patapon.

Across the Spider-Verse’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2023 ★★★★★ Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: Successfully combats multiverse fatigue by overdelivering in the visual department and never slowing down to catch its breath. Also helps that it uses the concept of a "Spiderverse" to introduce fun character after character, rather than use it as an excuse for rampant death where nothing matters.

‘All Star Superman’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
All Star Superman 2011 ★★★★ Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: Struggles to keep the wheel on the road as it screams through one of the best comics I've ever read, one that's overstuffed with ideas like a buffet made by a hyperactive chef. On the page, the reader can take their time, digest its panels one at a time. In animation, that's a lot harder, especially when the quality isn't DC's best.

‘Open 24 Hours’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
Open 24 Hours 2018 ½ Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: Opens with a strong hook (victim of past trauma is haunted by her actions) but delivers a middling story driven by cartoonish slasher movie antics that somehow seamlessly blur the line between hallucination and reality, making the entire ordeal a boring parade of jump scares. Either introduce a supernatural element OR let her imagination run wild, you can't have your cake and eat it too.
‘Maniac’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
Maniac 1980 ★★★½ Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: Considering how the slasher movie ended up dominating the 1980s to the point the genre became tired and overblown, this holds up quite well by focusing on the killer and making him into a human being. A sick human being, but a human none the less. No mask, no one-liners, no magic powers. He just kills people to suit his own needs and he hates that he does it.
‘Tartarus’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
Tartarus 2005 ★½ Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: I'm always going to be a little sore when a character in a movie suggests to another that the weird series of events unfolding on-screen makes perfect sense. I don't think Tartarus makes sense to anyone but its writer/director/costar, so I resent the implication that any confusion is somehow the viewer's fault. I believe Tartarus wants to be a mind-blowing story about death and redemption, and I respect its aspirations.
‘The Conjuring’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
The Conjuring 2013 ★★ Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: Credit where credit is due: I put this on late at night and at times the spookiness levels were so high I had to cover my eyes, so if you're looking for a movie to scare you, this movie will do that! But whenever it's not actively putting you at unease, the script and storytelling are remarkably sub-par.
‘Dracula’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
Dracula 1958 ★★★★ Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: Managed to live up to its reputation as a horror classic while also subverting everything I expected to happen during the story. Barely adapts the Bram Stoker novel at all, despite the on-screen credit, but instead grabs the usual cast of characters and shuffles them around to tell an original tale. Perhaps the biggest surprise was how slight Christopher Lee's part is in this picture?
‘Child's Play’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
Child's Play 2019 ★★★½ Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: I can't be mad at this remake because it is bursting with good ideas. Reimagining Chucky as a smart-device rather than a mere toy? Brilliant. Abandoning the voodoo and supernatural elements from the 1988 film in favor of AI gone awry? Very good. Relying on practical effects and leaning into gore instead of shooting for all-CGI & PG-13?
‘The Hidden’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
The Hidden 1987 Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: God, this movie...I have tried to watch it so many times. I first saw the beginning while at a sleepover and I fell asleep during the first act, probably having a nightmare about a bug thing crawling into my mouth. Every time it came on cable I tried to make it to the end but something always came up. At long last, today I finally sat down and completed my quest.
‘The Wrong Guy’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
The Wrong Guy 1997 ★★★★ Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: I've always believed the storytelling rule that a coincidence which gets the hero in more trouble is fine, but a coincidence that gets them out of trouble is cheating. This movie somehow achieves both, as this story of an idiot who blunders his way into and immediately out of a manhunt is chock full of far-fetched scenarios that shouldn't make sense. But everything is so funny, it doesn't matter.
‘The Visit’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
The Visit 2015 ★ Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: -Lame "found footage" angle that adds nothing to the story -the inevitable "twist" is unimaginative given how many potential things could actually be happening -Shyamalan dialogue combined with teenagers (one of whom RAPS) produces his worst script yet Diamond liked this review Reviewed by maria ★★
‘The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent 2022 ★★★★★ Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: I was on board with this film from the moment I heard its premise, but sitting down to watch it, I found it surpassed even my lofty expectations. I don't need to tell you that Nic Cage nails a movie where he plays TWO versions of himself, plus a few scenes where he has to play additional roles (no spoilers), but wow everyone else here turns it way the fuck up to keep pace with him.
‘RRR’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
RRR 2022 ★★★★★ Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: please indulge me: this movie hit netflix months ago AFTER everyone in the world talked it to death. Alas, Netflix declined to stream it in the country where I live, so I had to sit and wait through gushing review after gushing review, doing nothing because everyone said "see it in theaters" and I legit wanted to do that, I just had no idea when or if that would happen. Cut to me on vacation in Canada. Canada has Netflix. Canada has RRR.
‘Uncharted’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
Uncharted 2022 ★½ Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: Tom Holland oozes charm in every scene, Antonio Banderas gets to be sexy in two different languages, and both Sophia Ali and Tati Gabrielle absolutely outshine their male costars in every scene they steal. Too bad the movie as a whole doesn't work, either as an adaptation of the video game or as a movie unto itself.
Love and Thunder’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
Thor: Love and Thunder 2022 ★★★ Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: Can't hold a candle to the energy and massive changes brought about in Thor: Ragnarock, but I'd rather have my Marvel movies deliver fun characters and wild locations over the alternatives. I wish the film gave us more time with some of those characters, though, especially Jane and the God Butcher.
‘The Brood’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
The Brood 1979 Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: This is not my first David Cronenberg movie, so I knew what I was getting into when I started it, but wow did this movie deliver a whirlwind of unsettling images and uncomfortable situations. There's "body horror" and then there's "psychological horror," but The Brood asks "why not both" as it makes clear that NO ONE in this movie is going to be OK when it ends, regardless of whether they live or die.
‘Rope’ review by Diamond Feit • Letterboxd
Rope 1948 ★★★★★ Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: Absolutely incredible from start to finish. Opens with a murder (there is no mystery) and then forces you to watch as the killers host a party and escalate the tension beat by beat. Jimmy Stewart is untouchable here, I swear there are moments where he says NOTHING yet his face SCREAMS to the audience what he's thinking.

What We Left Behind: Looking Back at Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 2018 ★★★★★ Watched Mar 12, 2022 Diamond Feit’s review published on Letterboxd: I just finished watching DS9 this week, my first viewing in quite some time. The series was better than I remembered, in part because I could see the seams on many of the creakier episodes. It didn't matter; overall, it's one of the best series I've ever seen.

How to Memorialize the Positioning of Implant Screws
Implant restorations made in the United States exceed 5 million units each year, with these fixtures placed by only 10% of dentists nationwide. Many implant fixtures consist of single-unit restorations. But in recent years, the use of four to six implant fixtures to retain a cemented complete or partial arch reconstruction has become the desired treatment of choice for fully or partially edentulous patients, compared to removable prosthetics.
The Benefits of Electric Toothbrushes
Manual toothbrushes are terrific and have had many advances over the years. Used properly a manual toothbrush will clean your teeth and help keep your oral health optimal. However, you could be missing out on some of the great benefits that electric toothbrushes have to offer. While they clearly come at a slightly higher cost than manual toothbrushes, electric options are still found by many people to be well worth the small additional investment.
How Oral Health Can Affect Your Overall Healthiness

Now in its fourth year, the games expo highlights the small but growing Japanese independent game scene.
The Most Magnificent Cosplayers From the Tokyo Game Show
Videogame companies who attend the Tokyo Game Show come and go, but the fans are there forever. Even as publishers neglect their older gaming properties, characters from the past live on in the diverse crowd of cosplayers who show up every year at the Makuhari Messe convention center. And even though Nintendo doesn’t attend Tokyo Game Show, its fans do, as evidenced by the mountain of guests dressed as characters from its popular Splatoon Wii U game.
