Better Accessibility: My Path to the CPACC
I took the Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) exam offered by the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) in August of this year, and aside from PSATs/SATs in high school, I have never studied so much for one exam in my life. I have also never PAID as much for an exam in my life. I found people's shared online experiences helpful when I was debating taking this test, so I'm adding my thoughts as well.
ARIA landmark roles are sections of a web site that are so important to the page that they warrant their own dynamically generated navigation in assistive technologies. There are eight total landmarks, but there were previously only seven semantic HTML tags to correspond to those landmarks. Now finally the missing semantic tag <search> is available in browsers and is compatible under Baseline 2023 Newly Available.

The Feel-Good Rut: A Guide
It’s embarrassing to admit, but I get stuck in cycles of re-watching movies and TV shows and re-reading the same books over and over, rarely introducing anything new into my bank of consumption. It’s like I develop an anxiety about seeing new films, starting new TV shows or picking up a new book. It’s seriously a wonder how I’ve amassed any sort of pop culture lexicon at all. Why am I like this? Sometimes it’s because I’m indignant. Like, “I know what I like and I like what I know.
The Art Of The Meet Cute Through Texts
“Why are you looking at me like that?” “Because you’re beautiful. I enjoy looking at beautiful people, and I decided awhile ago not to deny myself the simple pleasures of existence. I mean, particularly, given that, as you so deliciously pointed out, all of this will end in oblivion and everything.” “You’re like a millennial Natalie Portman. Like ‘V for Vendetta’ Natalie Portman.” “Really? Pixie-haired gorgeous girl dislikes authority and can’t help but fall for a boy she knows is trouble.
I Want to Show Him That He Didn’t Break Me
** Trigger warning: This post contains sensitive topics such as emotional and physical abuse. ** When I was 17, instead of driving in tunnels with my friends feeling infinite, being excited about the prom and feeling like I was invincible the way most teenagers (especially if they’re high school seniors) feel, I was sleeping on my friend Katee’s floor and living out of my car. In the sixth grade my mom told my younger sister and me that she’d been seeing someone.
It Started Out With A Kiss

His hair is simultaneously repulsive and erotic — par for the course in the ’70s, when “The Virgin Suicides” takes place — which is the same sentiment I have towards the puka shell necklace I know is hidden beneath his shirt. Oh, and my arm is touching John Graham’s* arm. John Graham, the boy who for the last year has been this unattainable mythical creature, the boy who I had sex dreams about every night for three months.
