2. Materials and Methods This study was conducted as a prospective observational study. The patients in this study were recruited from the Clinical Hospital of Infectious Diseases and Pneumophtisiology “Dr. Victor Babes” Timisoara. Of 103 participants, 65 consecutive eligible participants meeting inclusion criteria were invited to participate. They were divided into two groups: thirty-four in the CPAP group and thirty-one in the no-CPAP group.
