Abstract Engineering artificial systems by twisting van der Waals materials provides an excellent platform for exploring emergent quantum phenomena. Recent advances in fabrication enable studies of interfacial superconductivity in twisted cuprates. In our work, we fabricate superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUID) that utilize the twisted interface of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ, a high-Tc cuprate superconductor.

Abstract Two-dimensional materials are a fertile ground for exploring quantum geometric phenomena, with Berry curvature and its first moment, the Berry curvature dipole, playing a central role in their electronic response. These geometric properties influence electronic transport and result in the anomalous and nonlinear Hall effects, and are typically controlled using static electric fields or strain.

The isolation of graphene and other layered materials like transition metal dichalcogenides has ushered in a new era in the field of two-dimensional physics1,2,3. Mechanical exfoliation of layered materials bonded by van der Waals forces is able to deliver single-crystalline ultraclean material in the monolayer limit. 2D materials are an exciting prospect to study two-dimensional superconductivity.
