This study used the radiation transfer equation method to retrieve surface temperatures from the thermal infrared bands 2 and 3 of SDGSAT-1. The retrieval results were then compared with the measured ground station data, as illustrated in below. All temperature units are Kelvin (K). The figure indicates that the temperatures retrieved by the single-channel algorithm are generally higher than those measured at the ground station.
