They can act as nonviral vectors for nucleic acids and ensure drug targeting, thus significantly improving its efficiency and reducing side effects; they can also serve as theranostics, combining the drug load with imaging moieties. (1,2) Among other types, amphiphilic dendrons (amp-DDNs) can be beneficially used as such nano systems.
