Mediation analysis of fundamental movement skills, physical activity, fitness, and BMI in primary school children
Abstract This study aims to investigate the relationship between fundamental movement skills (FMS) and moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) in children, with physical fitness (PF) and body mass index (BMI) as potential mediating factors. The sample included 1014 Portuguese children (540 girls) aged 6–10 years from the REACT project. MVPA was measured using wrist-worn accelerometers over 7 days. BMI z-scores were calculated.

NUYou: Results from a cluster randomized trial testing a mHealth cardiovascular health intervention in young adults
Abstract Objective: We studied whether cardiovascular health promotion via mHealth intervention was effective in a sample of adults entering college. Participants: 301 Freshmen at a Northwestern University were cluster randomized by residence hall.

Statistical analysis of the longitudinal fundamental movement skills data in the REACT project using the multilevel ordinal logistic model
1 INTRODUCTION In many studies of motor development and health-related behaviors the outcome of interest is measured in a series of ordered categories. Such outcomes are termed “ordinal” and can represent a variety of graded responses such as ratings of skill level (e.g., poor, good, excellent), sleep quality (very bad, reasonably bad, good, very good), and screen time (e.g., not watching, less than 1, 1–2, 2–3, 4–5, and 5 h or more).
Temporal stability of behavior, temporal cue-behavior associations, and physical activity habit strength among mothers with school-aged children
Abstract Objective: PA habits reflect stable, consistent patterns in behaviours that are performed automatically in response to temporal or contextual cues. Mothers face multiple demands and complex schedules related to parenting. This study examined how subject-level mean, variability, and slopes in device-measured moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) over three different timescales were associated with mothers’ PA habits.
Implementing a multilevel intervention to accelerate colorectal cancer screening and follow-up in federally qualified health centers using a stepped wedge design: a study protocol
Abstract Background Screening for colorectal cancer (CRC) not only detects disease early when treatment is more effective but also prevents cancer by finding and removing precancerous polyps. Because many of our nation’s most disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals obtain health care at federally qualified health centers, these centers play a significant role in increasing CRC screening among the most vulnerable populations.
