Interface-engineered iron single-atom biohybrids for efficient CO 2 -to-bioplastic conversion
Abstract A hybrid system combining water electrolysis and H2 autotrophic microorganism enables sustainable CO2 valorization, but is hindered by low H2 bioavailability and sluggish hydrogenase kinetics. Here, we report an interface-engineered inorganic–biological biohybrid, constructed by covalently anchoring iron single-atom catalysts (ISA) onto Cupriavidus necator (C.N@ISA) via click chemistry.

Cinobufotalin Ameliorates the Development of Pulmonary Fibrosis by Suppressing the TGF‐β/Smad Pathway via Regulating PI15
1 Introduction Pulmonary fibrosis (PF) is a fatal lung disease of unknown aetiology, characterised as chronic, progressive and irreversible, whose pathological hallmark is massive abnormal fibroblast proliferation, especially myofibroblasts, and accompanied by excessive extracellular matrix (ECM) deposition [1]. Furthermore, the disease manifests cardinal symptoms including progressive dyspnea and declining lung function, ultimately resulting in poor prognosis [2].

Phase angle as a predictor of malnutrition risk and 6-month mortality | CIA
Introduction Multimorbidity, defined as the co-occurrence of two or more chronic conditions, complicates patients’ nutritional status because of an increased inflammatory burden, altered metabolism, polypharmacy, and a reduced functional status, all of which increase the risk of malnutrition among aging populations.1 As population aging becomes more severe worldwide, multimorbidity has also emerged as a major concern of the global society.

Genome-wide variation study and inter-tissue communication analysis unveil regulatory mechanisms of egg-laying performance in chickens - Nature Communications
Abstract Egg-laying performance is of great economic importance in poultry, but the underlying genetic mechanisms are still elusive. In this work, we conduct a multi-omics and multi-tissue integrative study in hens with distinct egg production, to detect the hub candidate genes and construct hub molecular networks contributing to egg-laying phenotypic differences.

Recent advances in radical cascade reaction for constructing nitrogen heterocycles using azides as radical acceptors
Recent advances in radical cascade reaction for constructing nitrogen heterocycles using azides as radical acceptors Due to the high conversion properties, azide compounds are widely utilized in organic synthesis. For instance, azide compounds readily release nitrogen to form a new N-C bond when they function as radical acceptors for the active intermediates in the reaction.
Identification of methylation markers for age and Bovine Respiratory Disease in dairy cattle
Abstract Methylation profiles of animals is known to differ by age and disease status. Bovine respiratory disease (BRD), a complex infectious disease, primarily affects calves and has significant impact on animal welfare and the cattle industry, predominantly from production losses. BRD susceptibility is multifactorial, influenced by both environmental and genetic factors.

Effects of land use types on soil erodibility in a small karst watershed in western Hubei
The variation characteristics of soil carbon pool under different land use types The soil in the karst forest land is characterized by discontinuity, shallow soil layer, weak alkalinity, which lead to the accumulation and oxidation activity of SOC compared with other geomorphic areas (Bai & Zhou, 2020). SOC content is heterogeneous among different land types in the Xialaoxi watershed, the SOC stocks of arbor woodland (VF and CF), in particular, varies considerably with space.

Improved anaerobic degradation of purified terephthalic acid wastewater by adding nanoparticles or co-substrates to facilitate the electron transfer process
Improved anaerobic degradation of purified terephthalic acid wastewater by adding nanoparticles or co-substrates to facilitate the electron transfer process Improving biodegradation efficiency of the terephthalic acid (TA) wastewater is highly challenging, particularly in the large-scale up-flow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) reactors. Importantly, this study proposes to add functional components into UASB reactors to facilitate electron transfer process to enhance the TA degradation efficiency.
