What happened basically was, once Peter Duggan flicked it on, and Barry Nash kicks it, I actually think the ball was in the back of the net before the whistle was blown. It'll be interesting to see it back....We haven't had the luxury of seeing it back. Having the referee mic, I thought I heard the whistle blow after the ball had hit the net, so I wonder did he sit or not.

Deja vu all over again. For the second time in two outings in Croke Park, the Cork hurlers have capitulated in the most egregious fashion, losing their All-Ireland semifinal to Galway by 11 points. Just like in last year's All-Ireland final, the Rebels led at the break but just like last year's final, they were torched in the vital third quarter of the game. Galway burst out of the traps, buoyed by an early goal from Castlegar's Darragh Neary. Cork stuck at it and found their groove.

Kerry and Tyrone played out another huge battle in Croke Park. A gesture from Paudie Clifford to Mattie Donnelly after the game showed the respect between the teams. Kerry are one step closer to their 40th All-Ireland title after beating Tyrone by four points in Saturday’s All-Ireland SFC quarterfinal. Tyrone were without both Canavan brothers but two of their stalwarts proved that class is permanent.
