Pastor stabbed by server at downtown Austin restaurant

Photo of Edward Koubek (Austin Police Department) Court documents show that a server at a downtown Austin restaurant has been arrested and charged after stabbing a pastor dining there. The suspect, identified as 45-year-old Edward Koubek, has been charged with second-degree felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The victim has been identified as Jairo Sandoval-Pliego, a pastor at San Jose Catholic Church in Austin.

What they're saying: Austin ISD PD released a statement saying Chief Sneed was discharged from Dell Seton Medical Center after nearly four weeks of care and recovery following his motorcycle accident on June 3.
