For all the meals that I had with Julia Child, and we had a lot together when I was working on Baking with Julia, it wasn’t until just before she was leaving Boston to live in California that we had oysters. Michael, Joshua and I had driven up to her house in Cambridge to take her out for a farewell lunch and left the choice of where to go up to her.
