Doug Ross’s Biography

I'm a veteran journalist currently doing freelance assignments. I've been covering news and features in Northwest Indiana for four decades and have a lot of stories to tell. I delight in helping other journalists hone their skills as well as working on my own.

My career includes serving as editorial page editor, dealing with opinion material, but that's in the past. I now write, photograph and shoot videos of events in Northwest Indiana, primarily but not limited to Porter and LaPorte counties.

I've won enough national, regional and state awards to cover one wall of my home office with a bit of overset onto the adjacent wall.

In my free time, I'm active in my church, serving as president-elect of the church council and as an incoming elder in 2001.
