FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A fourth and final suspect in a February home invasion in Fairfield has been arrested and extradited from Alabama, according to police. Leon Jackson, 33, of New Haven, was identified as a person of interest on the day of the incident. Police said Jackson had fled the state and they located him in Alabama, where he was taken into custody.

MANCHESTER, Conn. — Three people have been arrested in connection with the death of a child who was wandering around a Manchester neighborhood early in the morning. Akari Cortes was killed when she was struck by a car on June 10 around 4:30 in the morning. Prior to her death, DCF was investigating the family after two reports of alleged lack of supervision. STAMFORD, Conn — Editor's Note: Video above originally aired on Dec. 9, 2025. The Office of the Inspector General has released a final report on the Dec. 2 standoff that ended with the barricaded suspect taking his own life and police discovering another dead body in the home. The report found that deadly force used by three officers responding to 263 Oaklawn Avenue in Stamford to be justified because Parkington had fired on police vehicles and was firing at the officers.
