Around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, the ride abruptly malfunctioned and came to a stop while the family – two adults and two kids – were riding the Sky Screamer, a spinning swing attraction that peaks at 236 feet, a Six Flags representative told KARE News.

On Thursday, the Pasadena Police Department made public footage of an officer using loaded firearms in “unsafe and out-of-policy horseplay” when he unintentionally shot a coworker. “It’s juvenile, unacceptable behavior at the highest level on the part of these officers,” Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo told KABC News.

The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon when two teenage boys rode e-bikes through the aisles of a Walmart in Foothill Ranch, nearly hitting customers in the process. By the time deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department arrived on the scene, the boys, approximately 14- or 15-years-old, according to KTLA News, had left the store.
