June Gower is a retired Major from the Armed Services working for the Nurse Corps. June started her military career directly out of high school as a field medic for the US Army. She was awarded several medals during her military service, which distinguished her for exemplary service (Meritorious metal).

She was deployed to serve with her Combat Hospital during Desert Storm/Desert Shield, leaving a small child behind with family.

June is one of those who came from a poor farm family and worked …
