After a freshman season with some bright spots, Tyler Oaks is playing through the summer to sharpen his craft. The former McMinn Central Charger, who graduated in 2025, is playing with the Winchester Royals this summer in the Valley Baseball League. And in eight appearances, Oaks has three saves, an impressive 1.30 earned run average and 0.85 WHIP (walks plus hits per innings pitched). At Western, Oaks made his collegiate debut against George Washington Feb.
