What was your first job as a journalist?
I worked at an independent TV station in New York. There, I interviewed many people in my community with a big, clunky, outdated camera.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes. I wish I still had one.
How is social media changing news?
As Neil Postman once stated, we are now living in the "age of entertainment". Everything is a "hit". People want things immediate and fast.

Julian Assange
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To get to the heart of the matter, through an angle that has not been explored yet.

Via e-mail.

Google Documents and Grammarly.

Reality.

Why did you become a journalist?
Because fiction rarely pays and I love writing all the time. It allows me to engage with the world

My high school did not have a newspaper.

Everything that is music-related and draws a bigger picture connecting to our world
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Write from a discerning and honest but fair place. Nothing is off-limits.

There is no such thing. Nothing is off-limits.
What's your favorite drink?
I have a love/hate relationship with gin and tonic. A bitter drink - I'm better off not drinking it.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
I would be most likely be outside, taking a walk.
