Dr. Michael Gaudiani is a fourth-year resident in orthopedic surgery at Henry Ford Health in Detroit, Michigan. As a resident physician, he is responsible for providing critical musculoskeletal care to patients throughout the greater Metro Detroit area. Working in Henry Ford Hospital, a renowned Level 1 trauma center, Dr. Gaudiani is gaining extensive experience in treating some of the most complex and severe injuries in the region.
Michael Gaudiani's path to becoming an orthopedic surgeon began at Harvard University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Evolutionary Biology with a minor in English. After his undergraduate studies, he pursued his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, graduating with Honors in Research in 2021. Case Western is known for its leading role in medical education and biomedical research, which provided a solid foundation for his future career in orthopedic surgery.
During his time at Harvard, Dr. Gaudiani worked as a licensed EMT-B, delivering pre-hospital emergency care in the greater Boston area. This early exposure to patient care played a pivotal role in shaping his interest in the medical field. After completing his undergraduate degree, he worked as a research assistant at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, where he gained valuable experience coordinating clinical research projects, preparing conference presentations, and assisting with academic manuscripts.
