Dr. Seth Eidemiller’s Biography
Dr. Seth A. Eidemiller is a board-certified emergency physician whose path started on a fourth-generation dairy farm in Idaho. His upbringing on the farm taught him the value of steady effort and responsibility. Before entering medicine, he worked with the U.S. Forest Service in wildfire suppression and construction, acquiring practical skills such as carpentry and electrical work. He also gained experience in restaurants, where he learned to work efficiently under pressure and communicate with people from various backgrounds. He completed undergraduate degrees in International Studies and Spanish at the University of Idaho, which provided him with a broad academic foundation.
After earning his bachelor’s degree, he returned to Boise to complete the science prerequisites for medical school. He took courses in chemistry, biology, and anatomy while working as a lab instructor and manager. He also contributed three years to biomedical research, focusing on systems biology and human health. These roles prepared him for the challenges of medical training and patient care.
He started medical school in 2012 at the University of Nevada, Reno. Over the next four years, he rotated through different hospitals and clinics, gaining experience in general medicine, surgery, pediatrics, internal medicine, and psychiatry. After graduating in 2016, he began his emergency medicine residency at UCSF-Fresno, where he trained in one of California’s busiest emergency departments. His residency involved airway management, resuscitation, line placement, and bedside ultrasound. He treated a wide range of emergencies, always focusing on patient care and clear communication.
After residency, he worked at Mercy Medical Center in Merced before joining the Chico Emergency Medicine Physician Group in 2020. His dedication and skills led to his appointment as Vice Chair in 2024. In this leadership role, he manages scheduling and operational logistics, supports staff, and provides direct patient care. He keeps his clinical skills current by working additional shifts at a Fresno medical center, ensuring exposure to a variety of high-acuity cases.
Dr. Seth Eidemiller maintains board certification and a California medical license and is fluent in Spanish, which enables him to connect with many patients. Outside work, he enjoys cycling, volunteering, cooking, and handling home projects. Dr. Seth continues to serve his community with humility and commitment.
