The Tucson Unified School District Governing Board has voted to sell the district's historic headquarters on E. 10th St. The deal has not been finalized, but the board approved moving forward with the sale by a 4-1 vote. The proposed buyer MDL Development of Delaware will pay 17-5 million dollars for the property with a plan to build private housing for U of A students.

Despite the city buying several hotels in 2023 to turn into housing for the homeless, the city's Housing and Community Development Department says the city has insufficient housing resources and is still trying to ease the housing strain caused by the Pandemic.
