Introduction Schizophrenia is a significant psychiatric disorder that affects 1% of the global population (). Approximately 24 million people globally (0.32%) have schizophrenia, with a rate of 0.45% in adults (). In Indonesia, schizophrenia affects 1.8 per 1,000 Indonesians (range = 0.9 to 3.5 per 1,000 people) (). Relapse is related to expensive hospitalizations, unemployment, and decreased productivity. In addition, relationships are frequently endangered and the risk of suicide increases ().
