Caldera opened its season Tuesday with a 5-3 victory over Putnam. The Wolfpack are one of the younger teams in the Intermountain Conference, with just six seniors among a roster of 20 players. With plenty of young talent, the team knows there will be a learning curve throughout the season.

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ)-- Oregon State opened the season on the road against Houston, looking to pull off an upset in head coach JaMarcus Shephard's first game with the Beavers. The Cougars came out fast, but Oregon State answered when quarterback Braeden Atkinson ran for a touchdown to get the Beavers on the board. Houston controlled much of the first half, taking a 19-7 lead into the locker room. The Cougars extended their advantage to 26-7 coming out of halftime, but the Beavers refused to go away.
