1. Introduction The Megalopolis of Central Mexico, which spans Mexico City and its five neighboring states, concentrates around 33% of the national population and contributes to one third of the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) [1]. In 2015, a population growth was estimated to have increased from approximately 27 million to 40 million people, with the metropolitan areas of Mexico City, Toluca, Puebla-Tlaxcala, and Querétaro housing approximately 70% of the inhabitants in the entire region.
