It's been nearly two months since the NBA Draft occurred. However, Minnesota Timberwolves' second-round pick, Trey Kaufman-Renn, has yet to sign a contract. While Kaufman-Renn's contract status has flown under the radar, it's worth looking at the Wolves' options. When Kaufman-Renn was selected with the 59th pick, I assumed he would slot into one of the Wolves' two-way contracts. Alas, though, we are still waiting to see what contract Kaufman-Renn will be on this season.

Ravens' versatile lineman is fighting for a roster spot this preseason

Last year, undrafted free agent Corey Bullock quickly became a Baltimore Ravens fan favorite in the preseason. Bullock made the Ravens' 53-man roster as Tyler Linderbaum's backup after a strong preseason showing. In addition to being a classic underdog story, Bullock is a local product who grew up in Maryland and spent his final year of college at the University of Maryland. With the Ravens' revamped offensive line, though, Bullock's spot on the roster is anything but secure.

Timberwolves' biggest concern will be immediately challenged

The biggest question around the Minnesota Timberwolves heading into the 2026-27 season is their power forward room. With Naz Reid in Charlotte and Julius Randle in Brooklyn, the Wolves' former strength is now a massive question mark. With the NBA schedule officially released, it's clear Minnesota's new-look frontcourt will be challenged early in the season. Six of the Timberwolves' first nine games are against formidable and physical frontcourts.
