It’s been three years since Shinedown, the hard rockin’ band from Jacksonville, Florida, released their last studio album, 2015’s “Threat To Survival.” Although the album was a bestseller and the band embarked on one of their most successful tours of their 17-year-old career to promote it, there was no guarantee lovers of the album would still be around to greet their next effort with open arms (and ears). To rock radio, and to not always loyal music fans, 36 months can feel like an eternity.
