Introduction Takotsubo syndrome (TTS) is an acute reversible form of heart failure, which initially presents similar to acute myocardial infarction. Defining features are transient wall motion abnormalities with typically left ventricular, apical circumferential akinesia without culprit stenoses of coronary arteries.1-4 Physical or emotional stress factors usually trigger TTS.
