Abstract Paediatric palliative care (PPC) is essential in alleviating the multidimensional burden of cancer for children and their families, yet their needs remain insufficiently understood across diverse settings. This scoping review mapped the palliative care needs of children with cancer through the bio-psycho-socio-spiritual lens, examining how these needs relate to quality of life and highlighting gaps in current practice.

INTRODUCTION According to estimates from the World Health Organization (WHO), 1.9 billion people worldwide suffer from anaemia, with children bearing the greatest burden (42.6%).1 Despite increased humanitarian efforts, childhood anaemia remains a significant health issue for mothers and children in India.2 National Family Health Survey (NFHS) 2019–2021 data showed that anaemia in children aged 6–59 months increased from 58.6% to 67.1%.
