Belgium and the Netherlands are set to link up their hydrogen pipeline networks after gas network operators Gasunie and Fluxys signed a joint development agreement (JDA). The transmission system operators (TSOs) aim to complete the connection by 2030 using repurposed natural gas pipelines at the border between the Belgian Antwerp province and the Dutch Zeeland province.

A European trio will assess developing a green hydrogen value chain connecting the Nordic-Baltic region with Germany, focusing on molecule supply, infrastructure and demand. Northern Europe Energy Group (Northern), Securing Energy for Europe (SEFE), and the Baltic Sea Hydrogen Collector (BHC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) aimed at supplying green hydrogen from the Nordic-Baltic region to Germany.

By on E-fuels firm Allied Biofuels (ABF) will advance a $6bn planned 400,000 tonne-per-year alternative fuels plant in Central Asia, after signing a project implementation agreement (PIA) with the government of Uzbekistan. According to ABF, the project, which is due to reach final investment decision (FID) in late 2026, could incorporate as much as 4.45GW of renewable energy systems, powering 2.4GW of electrolysers secured from Plug Power in late 2025.
