Forecasting atmospheric turbulence conditions from prior environmental parameters using artificial neural networks
Abstract Atmospheric turbulence ($C_n^2$) modeling has been proposed by physics-based models, but they are unable to capture the many cases. Recently, machine learning surrogate models have been used to learn the relationship between local meteorological conditions and turbulence strength. These models predict $C_n^2$ at time $t$ from weather at time $t$.
Should I shoot game birds with a side-by-side or over-and-under?
Side by side shotguns are loved by traditionalists. I started my shooting with a side-by-side shotgun and then switched to an over-and-under. Here’s why. (More on switching from a side-by-side to an over-and-under.) Side-by-side or over-and-under? It is much easier shooting with an over-and-under. For proof, look at the Olympic shooters and you won’t see a single side-by-side. The double trigger would ruin some of their scores for a start.
Contrasting the Faith Responses of the Royal Official and Thomas in the Gospel of John and Their Implications for Discipleship
Home > COTM > SPIRITUS > Vol. 7 (2022) > No. 1 Abstract John pens his Gospel in such a way that, like his included characters who encounter Jesus, his readers are being confronted with the person of Jesus and the totality of his revelation. Also like the characters, John’s readers must make decisions regarding the divine truth being revealed through the gospel as they read the text and experience Jesus for themselves.

The Futility of Anti-Trump Boycotts
The anti-President Donald Trump phenomena is a uniquely unparalleled mass hysteria that, to my knowledge, has never been witnessed before in America history. Vastly larger than what was done to Presidents George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan, we’ve never seen such a massive pre-emptive attempt to bring down a legitimately-elected president – before he even took office or did anything as president.
Trump and the Lilliputians
I attempted to rise, but was not able to stir: for, as I happened to lie on my back, I found my arms and legs were strongly fastened on each side to the ground; and my hair, which was long and thick, tied down in the same manner.
