DAYTONA BEACH — The city's iconic Boardwalk will soon get its first major extension in decades. The oceanfront walkway currently extends from the north end of the Ocean Walk Resort down to the southern end of Breakers Oceanfront Park. The extension will begin at the southern end of Breakers Oceanfront Park, and add a new 245-foot-long leg that will stop at the north side of Harvey Avenue and connect to the sidewalk there. It will also tie into the beach access point at Harvey Avenue.
