James Ekene Odigwe is a broadcast journalist and community & engagement manager with 15+ years across public broadcasting and Web3/DAO community operations.
As Controller, Programmes (Studio) at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria's Enugu Zonal Office — one of 37 stations nationwide at Nigeria's statutory national broadcaster — he trains on-air and production staff across the zone's 7 FM stations and has grown the zone's digital audience reach by 67%, with public affairs programming now reaching 300,000+ listeners.
Since 2021, he has also led community operations, moderation governance, and crisis communications for several Web3/DAO organizations, including AfrofutureDAO, Autheo, Commons Stack, #DerivedArt, and #artStormNFT — building communities from zero, designing governance frameworks, and leading crisis-communications responses during high-tension periods.
He is a TEDx speaker ("To Fact-Check or Not: The Importance of Media and Information Literacy," TEDxASATA), a Merck Foundation Stay-at-Home Media Recognition Award winner (2020), and a recipient of the FiNext Global Fintech Innovation Award (Dubai, 2025) for community and communications work supporting fintech-adjacent Web3 ecosystems.
He coordinates journalism training at the West Africa Broadcast Media Academy (WABMA) and co-leads electoral integrity and disinformation-response programming with Project Fact Check Nigeria.
