Results and Discussion This study seeks to comprehensively explore the concept of the ‘optimum’ insulation thickness by evaluating it from both economic and engineering perspectives using life cycle cost analysis (LCCA). By incorporating LCCA and average heating degree day (HDD) values, this study calculates the ideal insulation thickness for 81 provinces in Türkiye.
