After months of negotiations, Congress has passed legislation to reauthorize the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The House of Representatives passed the bill, the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024 (H.R. 3935), on May 15th with a 387-26 vote. The Senate passed the measure May 9th by an 88-4 vote. The FAA reauthorization bill is a $105.5 billion package that would reauthorize FAA programs through Fiscal Year (FY) 2028.

Federal Highway Administration Government, Safety Federal Highway Administrator Bhatt Resigns FHWA Administrator Shailen Bhatt announced Sept. 6 that he is leaving his post where he has led 2,700 FHWA employees and administered awards totaling more than $350 billion in bipartisan infrastructure funds and other grants.

At what was very likely its final hearing, the House of Representatives’ Select Committee on the Climate Crisis convened December 6th to review its accomplishments and discuss considerations for future action. Created at the start of the 116th Congress, the select committee was authorized to study and make recommendations on policies to solve the climate crisis.
