USC students look to basketball for athletic hope
After its football team dropped out of the AP Top 25, USC is turning to the men’s and women’s basketball teams to reinvigorate student excitement about athletics. The Trojans dropped their second game of the season this weekend, scoring just one touchdown in a 24-7 loss to Wisconsin. Giancarlo Hash, a junior studying real estate development, had high hopes for USC football this year.

The Senate of USC’s Undergraduate Student Government (USG) voted Tuesday on a resolution supporting the former Cornell student, identified in lawsuits as Jane Doe, and other sexual violence survivors. The resolution passed 12-0, as the student senate looks to ensure protection for those who report and protest, emphasize the school’s responsibility to student safety, and clarify the resources already available.

Dodgers on the hunt for a three-peat
On Saturday, the Dodgers will begin their MLB-leading 14th consecutive playoff run as they look to win the World Series for the third straight year. The last three-peat in Major League Baseball was completed by the New York Yankees between 1998 and 2000. The Dodgers finished first in the National League West with a 100-62 record, securing a first-round bye. They will face the winner of the three-game Wild Card Series between the Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies.
The high cost of USC Football tickets
USC football has had a strong showing in its opening three games of the 2026 season, outscoring its opponents 130-56. Despite this dominance, its performances have been overshadowed by poor attendance numbers at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum. High student ticket prices are an overlooked component of the issue, as students are forced to pay roughly $50 per home game. A student season ticket gives students access to all seven of USC’s home games and up to two guest tickets per game.

Negotiations are still going on while I am writing this, but one thing is clear: the relationship between the UK and the EU will not be the same. Personally, the loss of the free movement is what hits the hardest. I don’t know any different than to be able to travel to and live in another European country whenever I want.

How I'm Balancing School With My Chronic Health Conditions
I have always been very fortunate that my school has been very supportive of my copious amounts of hospital appointments. Every week on a Monday morning, I would go up to the sixth form office and hand in my letters for that week, informing them of what days I was missing at what time, which hospital I was going to and what treatment I was going to have. It got to a point where it seemed like my teacher and mum were pen pals writing to each other each week.
How My Face Changed Over 3 Years While on Prednisolone for Lupus
This is a comparison of my face from 2015, 2016 and 2017, all from around the same time of the year: Advertisement Advertisement In other words, pre-diagnosis of lupus, when I was on about 40 mg of Prednisolone and nowadays when I’m on 10 mg. I like looking at the contrast between non-moon face, utter moon face and nearly gone moon face to remind myself that it wasn’t permanent. I used to think I wasn’t very vain or fixated with my physical appearance.
