| Nicholas Lea once said, “Everything has an end.” This saying has become particularly poignant when people reflect on the cyclical nature of existence, and it came to life on Monday, July 14, 2025, when sensational Kenyan comedian, content creator, and satirist KK Mwenyewe breathed his last. Born Zachariah Kariuki, the 25-year-old funnyman died while receiving treatment at Kiambu Level 4 Hospital following a brief illness, according to fellow comedian and frequent collaborator Kafengo.

Speaking ahead of the Kenya Young Members of County Assemblies (KYMCA) Mock Youth Parliament slated for today in Nakuru, NEC Member of KYMCA and Nominated Nakuru MCA representing the youth Hassan Duale, said the event will be a great platform for youthful MCAs to learn about how a Parliament works.

| The National Gender-based Violence (GBV) Working Group has finalised the Memorandum on GBV including Femicide for submission to the Technical Working Group that was recently gazetted by President William Ruto. The working group has provided the next steps for ratifying the African Union Convention on Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (AU-CEVAWG). The Memorandum will shape Kenya’s policy and legal frameworks for prevention, response and curbing gender-based violence including femicide.
