She earned her MBA in marketing and operations management from Loyola, a MA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison; and a BA in history from the University of Chicago.

The film Leonora in the Morning Light (2025), based on Mexican novelist Elena Poniatowska's novel Leonora, tells the story of British-born painter Leonora Carrington who was involved in the Surrealists in the 1930s. Played by Olivia Vinall, the film focuses largely on Leonora's inner demons, notably her descent into madness that resulted in electro-shock treatments in Spain and her unsaid PTSD years later in Mexico. I watched the film at the 2025 Chicago International Film Festival this October.

The Art Institute of Chicago's "Embroidered Traditions from Morocco to Afghanistan" explores the textile traditions of Southwest Asia and North Africa, known as SWANA, with a dazzling display of over seventy textiles from the eighteenth to twentieth centuries, including the loan of four face veils from a private collector based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It's the Art Institute's first exhibition of its kind focusing on the art and culture of the SWANA region.
