Hernando County Fire Rescue Three house cats are safe after Hernando County firefighters rescued them from a residential fire in Spring Hill just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday. Hernando County Fire Rescue responded around 12:45 a.m. to a fire on Amy Circle off of Deltona Boulevard in Spring Hill.

Florida Atlantic University's Student Government holds an award ceremony for student leaders every year. In May 2024, the student body chose Elisabeth Gaffney as the student Editor of the Year for her work as the Managing Editor for FAU's student-run newspaper University Press.
