TUSKEGEE, Ala. (WRBL) – Drivers traveling on Interstate 85 south through Macon County should expect delays beginning Monday as crews repair a damaged bridge. According to the Alabama Department of Transportation, work will begin around 7 a.m. Monday, July 6, on the bridge over Uphapee Creek near mile marker 39 in Tuskegee. The outside southbound lane will be closed while crews repair a bridge rail that was damaged in a June 17 crash. ALDOT says the repairs are expected to take about two weeks.
