Eloisa Lopez is a freelance photographer and writer based in Manila, Philippines. She covers crime, human rights, women and children issues.
She is a graduate of De La Salle University Manila where she took up Communication Arts, and worked as a staff photographer for the university's newspaper, Ang Pahayagang Plaridel.
She is currently a correspondent for UCANews and Rappler. Her work has also appeared on The New York Review of Books, TIME (online), The New York Times, Der Spiegel, and Philippine Daily Inquirer—where she was a photo correspondent for two years after college.
In 2017, her work on the Philippine war on drugs was exhibited in WARM Festival in Sarajevo, Prix-Bayeux Calvados in Bayeux, and in the Foreign Correspondents Club in Bangkok.
