Plants | Free Full-Text | Studies of the Variability of Biologically Active Compounds and Antioxidant Activity in Organically, Biodynamically, and Naturally Grown and Fermented Fireweed (Chamerion angustifolium (L.) Holub) Leaves
3.1. Field Experiment The field experiment was conducted in 2022 in Jonava district, Safarkos village, Giedres Nacevicienes organic farm (No. SER-T-19-00910, Lithuania, 55°00′22″ N 24°12′22″ E). Organic fields were managed according to this cultivation system for the last 10 years, with a transition to biodynamic farming in the past year. The perennial fireweeds in the organic farm are grown for the fourth year. Part of the field was left for fireweeds to grow naturally.
The Effect of Nitrogen and Sulphur Application on Soybean Productivity Traits in Temperate Climates Conditions
2.1. Site Description, Experimental Design and Field Management A 3-year field experiment was carried out in 2015–2017 under rainfed conditions on a private farm in Zamość District, in south-eastern Poland (50°43′34″ N, 23°39′11″ E). The experimental field was located on soil with the granulometric composition of clayey silt, slightly acidic, with moderate content of phosphorus and potassium (Table 1).
The Effect of Fertilization on the Structure of the Aboveground Biomass of Several Cultivars of Jerusalem Artichoke (Helianthus tuberosus L.)
3.2.2. Number of Stems and Leaves in the Aboveground Biomass The highest share of the number of stems in the aboveground biomass was found in the cultivar ‘Violet de Rennes’ (mean 23.04 Pcs plant−1) and the largest share of leaves was found in the cultivar ‘Albik’ (mean 187.33 Pcs plant−1) (Table 7). Mineral fertilization had a significant effect on the number of JA stems and leaves.
