1 Introduction Induced seismicity related to industrial activity has increased the seismic hazard in areas with historically low seismicity in Alberta (Atkinson et al., 2016; Ghofrani et al., 2019; Reyes Canales et al., 2022). From the period 2013–2019, the seismic hazard in the province was dominated by cases related to hydraulic-fracturing activities in the Duvernay Fm., particularly in locations near Fox Creek and Red Deer (Schultz et al., 2017; Wang et al., 2020).
