Have you ever used a typewriter?
Of course! I find it too cumbersome to write full stories on, but typewriters are great for filling out forms.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
#biologistspacefacts was great--and sparked good discussion around science educators' responsibilities.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
At the moment, my favorite digital tools are Skype & plugins (so good for recording interviews) and Google Scholar Alerts.

Why did you become a journalist?
After college, I realized I couldn't give up my pursuit of science... or writing. Science journalism proved to be the perfect fusion.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
Scientific American, Discover, Nautilus, the New York Times... I could go on and on.
