With hurricane season just weeks away, crews in Norfolk are already taking proactive steps to reduce the risk of widespread power outages. On Tuesday, utility crews worked block by block through the Lafayette neighborhood, cutting back overgrown trees and bushes that pose a threat to power lines. The effort, led by Dominion Energy, is part of an ongoing initiative to minimize storm-related damage. "It's first and foremost a safety reason, " said Billy Nagy with Dominion Energy.
