1 Introduction While the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has been dredging navigation channels for hundreds of years and beneficially reused approximately 155 million cubic yards of material since 2022 (RSMP, 2025), there are opportunities to improve how the economic benefits, costs, and environmental consequences of these activities are assessed and disclosed (Bolam and Rees, 2003).
