The vast majority of respondents to The Logic’s latest subscriber survey think artificial intelligence will change their job, but most do not think the technology will replace what they do for a living. AI is entering workplaces across the country, and Prime Minister Mark Carney’s national AI strategy says adoption of the technology will create $200 billion in economic growth and 250,000 AI-related jobs over the next five years.

Eighty per cent of respondents to The Logic’s latest subscriber survey are satisfied with Prime Minister Mark Carney’s handling of U.S. tariffs and trade relations, but they are less enthusiastic about progress on the home front.

Sixty per cent of respondents to The Logic’s latest subscriber survey think Alberta’s proposed oil pipeline should be built, but only 26 per cent think it likely will be. In late November, the federal government signed a memorandum of understanding with the province in support of the pipeline, which still needs a private-sector backer. The project would run from Alberta to the north coast of B.C. and carry one million barrels of oil per day, mainly to markets in Asia.
