SPRING SPOTLIGHT: CENTENARY SOFTBALL
Shreveport – The Centenary softball team is in the midst of one of its most successful seasons in the division III era, but the Ladies are not just achieving success on the field. The softball program is annually one of the college's top academic teams and this season is no different. The Ladies had a 3.36 team GPA for the Fall semester with six players boasting a perfect 4.0 GPA. Four of the six are seniors and 11 players were named to the Dean's List and seven are seniors.

Longview, Texas - The Centenary softball team dropped the opener of its three-game Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference weekend series to the LeTourneau University YellowJackets by a score of 4-2 on Friday evening at the LETU Softball Field inside the Joyce Family Athletic Village. The Ladies (6-10, 6-4 SCAC) and YellowJackets (5-12, 4-9 SCAC) will finish the series with a doubleheader on Saturday at NOON. Admission is FREE to the games.

The Ladies (3-6, 3-0 SCAC) and Tornados (6-1, 4-1 SCAC) will finish the series with a single game on Sunday at NOON.

Sotball Drops SCAC Championship Opener To Trinity
Austin, Texas – The No. 6 seed Centenary softball fell 6-2 to the No. 3 seed Trinity University Tigers on Friday as the Ladies opened play in the 2025 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship at Roberts Family Field on the campus of Concordia University. The Ladies (19-21) led the Tigers (31-10) by a score of 1-0 after four innings but Trinity scored four times in the fifth and two in the sixth to pull away for the win.

A remarkable 8,054 collegiate student-athletes captured Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2023-24 academic year.
Five Ladies Named To CSC Academic All-District® Softball Team
Greenwood, Ind. – Five Ladies were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2023-24 Academic All-District® Softball Team, the organization announced on Tuesday. Sophomore River Boultinghouse (St. Gabriel, La.), senior RF Mackenzie Cox (Alexandria, La.) sophomore 2B/P Emma Crow (Krotz Springs, La.), sophomore DP Abigail Hodgson (Georgetown, Texas), and junior LHP Emma Shepherd (Athens, La.) each earned a spot on the prestigious team.
Softball Swept By Nationally-Ranked TLU On Friday
Seguin, Texas - The Centenary softball team was swept in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader on Friday by the nationally-ranked Texas Lutheran Bulldogs, 8-0 in five innings in game one and 9-1 in six innings in game two at Ed Kruse Stadium – Morck Softball Field. The Ladies (13-18, 8-6 SCAC) and Bulldogs (22-2, 13-1 SCAC) will wrap up the series on Saturday with the third and final game scheduled for Noon.

Shreveport - The Centenary softball team defeated the University of Dallas Crusaders by a score of 5-1 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Tuesday evening in a makeup game at the Centenary Softball Complex. The Ladies (9-14, 4-2 SCAC) recorded a series sweep over the Crusaders (3-16, 0-6 SCAC) after sweeping a doubleheader back on March 16 in the first two games of the series.

The Ladies (14-19, 9-6 SCAC) took game one 18-2 in five innings and won game two, 3-1 after winning the series opener on Friday night, 7-2.

Shreveport- The Centenary softball team dropped the rubber game of its opening Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference series on Sunday 10-6 to the University of St. Thomas Celts at the Centenary Softball Complex. The Ladies (5-12, 1-2 SCAC) and Celts (14-6, 2-1 SCAC) split a doubleheader on Saturday as the Maroon and White edged the visitors 2-1 in game one and the Celts responded with a 9-0 win in six innings in the second game.
Ladies Drop DH To St. John Fisher On Sunday
Shreveport - The Centenary softball team dropped a non-conference doubleheader to the St. John Fisher University Cardinals, 7-3 and 4-0, on Sunday at the Centenary Softball Complex. The Ladies (4-6) and Cardinals (2-0) were meeting for the first time in history. Centenary was back in action for the first time since sweeping a non-conference doubleheader over the Millsaps College Majors back on Feb. 21 at home, winning 5-2 in game one and 5-3 in game two.
