ABSTRACT Despite extensive research on smiling, gaps remain in understanding its dynamic impact on audience responses to televised presenters. Grounded in Emotional Contagion Theory, this study investigates how a presenter’s smile influences viewer engagement, emotional mimicry, and evaluations of credibility and effectiveness.
